Director Reed wishes everyone a happy and healthy holiday season. He would also invite you to our 3rd month of County Recreation. Rutherford County Recreation has served our county's citizens for the last 47 years. We have recreational opportunities at 18 locations across our county. We also offer Jr. Pro Basketball and football; Adult Volleyball; and spring Softball. Please check the links on the right for details about recreation in your area.

Conservation Grant Applications Extended

The Rutherford County Conservation Board matching grant and community grant for ball fields and other park areas has been extended to Dec. 15. For more information, please contact Director, Joey Reed at

Jr. Pro Basketball Basketball

Rutherford County Recreation's Jr. Pro Basketball League is in full swing. Our Super League will conclude all their games on Dec. 22. Other leagues will continue into February.. Please click on the Jr. Pro Link for information about league play in your area: Jr. Pro

Eagleville Jr. Pro Football has Concluded

County Rec sponsored Jr. Pro Football at Eagleville has finished it 2018 season. For information about next year's sign-ups, practice times, locations,and games, please check with Bruce Haley at Eagleville School.

Director Cates Retires

Ben Cates has retired as County Recreation Director after 46 years of service. We will miss his wisdom, guidance, and his wonderful sense of humor. Some of us will even miss his1983 Olds ("Ole Blue") that he bought new and is still driving.
